Why are your prices higher than the $99 ads I see online?

A $99 ad usually isn't the full picture. Those prices typically don't include dryer vent cleaning ($119 value), our agitator brush deep-clean ($78 value), The Transparency Report ($149 value), or before-and-after photos — that's $346 in services we include free. Our flat rate also covers your entire duct system, not a set number of vents with per-vent overage stacked on top. You pay once, you see the price before you book, and there are no surprises on the day.

Is duct cleaning actually worth it — or is this a scam?

A fair question — the category has earned the skepticism, and most of us have had a “$99 whole home” scam call at some point. Proper duct cleaning is worth it: it removes years of dust, allergens, and chemical residue from a system that recirculates through your home every day, and it measurably improves indoor air quality and HVAC efficiency. What makes it a scam is when operators bait with $99 and charge $500 on the day. We publish every price, every fee, and every possible surcharge on this website before you book — so you know what you're paying before our technician ever shows up.

What if my home is bigger or smaller than I estimated?

Your vent count is the source of truth, not your square footage. When our technician arrives, they'll walk through your home with you to count vents together — if the number comes in higher or lower than expected, you have three options: add extra vents at $10 each, upgrade to the next tier, or downgrade to match your actual count. No confrontation, no surprise pricing — you pick whichever works best.

Is the sanitizer safe for pets and kids?

Yes — our sanitizer is plant-based, not a chemical disinfectant. It's applied after the cleaning is complete and is safe for pets, kids, and anyone with asthma or sensitivity to household chemicals. If you'd rather we skip it, just let our technician know on the day.

Do I need to be home during the service?

Yes — the person who booked the service needs to be home during the appointment. This protects you (our tech walks through the inspection findings with you on the day) and protects us (the 5-Point Inspection needs a decision-maker on-site for any add-on approvals). If you're booking for a tenanted rental property, the landlord — not the tenant — must book and be present.

How long does the service take?

Most appointments take around 1.5–2 hours, depending on your home size and any add-ons. Smaller homes are usually done quicker; larger homes with a Full System Restore can run longer. We cap our week at 20–25 appointments specifically so nothing feels rushed — your job gets the time it deserves.

How do I choose my appointment date?

We schedule every appointment personally. Once you submit your details online, your price is locked in and a confirmation email is on its way. Then call us at (416) 450-1476 to choose your date, or we'll call you within 1 business day. Just outside our usual service area? Submit anyway — we'll confirm coverage when we talk.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

No problem — just call us at (416) 450-1476. As long as we get at least 24 hours' notice, there's no charge to reschedule or cancel. If our technician is already on the way or arrives and the appointment can't be completed, a $50 drive-out fee applies. We disclose this upfront so there are no surprises down the line.

I had my ducts cleaned recently. I actually bought the groupon in June but it took some time to create the appointment as we couldn't match our schedules. Zara, the owner, kept following up however and when it was scheduled, she and her colleague Abdul did the job that was promised, and more. They came prepared and were very respectful while setting up the equipment in the house. They took the time to answer all my questions and explain what they were doing. They also offered legitimate advice, for example on my furnace filter. Not just upsell. They also showed me how the last people who came to clean my ducts years ago did not actually clean my ducts. That was disappointing as the last people also “appeared” to be professionals but didn't show us pictures/video of the inside of the vents. Zara/Abdul did. Big difference. In fact, my house being almost 40 years old, and us living here 12 years, Abdul was able to clean out drywall, wood pieces, sawdust, screws and other bits and dirt that the original builders left behind inside the vents! Crazy! It was totally worth the price for the groupon and the optional additional services offered on site. Thank you for doing it right and showing me video of the before and after. I appreciate it! Will call again in 3 years as recommended.

Overall amazing experience. Had two guys come out to my house today, they were very polite and professional, they cleaned all the vents, the furnace and most importantly the dryer vent that has never been cleaned. To my surprise all these years i had been looking at the wrong vent leading to the outside of my house and these guys discovered where the dryer vent was actually located. Clean Fresh Air Services started because our founder was on the receiving end of a bait-and-switch duct cleaning — the kind the rest of the industry runs on. She came out of that experience convinced there had to be a better way, and brought a hospitality background into a trade that had forgotten what service means — building CFA around one idea: treat homeowners the way the rest of the industry won't.
